I met Alice…..or did I?

It doesn’t matter
If, amidst the clatter,
You want to natter,
So, let us chatter;
And, yeah, get fatter
On doughnuts, yum, that batter.
Oops, the rain goes pitter-patter
Hurry, dash inside, Mr Mad Hatter!

Now, Alice turns to me
“It’s very unfair, don’t you see,
With Mad Hatter, you had tea,
Doughnuts too, but not with me!”
I look around and all I see
Such angry faces, out to get me.
The Queen, the Cat and company,
So, with White Rabbit, I quickly flee.

Out the tree, I swiftly hop,
Run up the hill, to its top;
I’ll not tarry, or wait a dot,
I’m in trouble, quite in a spot.
“Goodbye,” I yell, “you creepy lot!
You weird, eerie, dotty lot!”

At home now, I am…in Camelot,
So, hey you all, was it a dream…or what?

Me the bee – the Christmas bee!

I am a bee, a busy bee, a Christmas bee, you see
I have too much to do, I am buzz-y, buzz-y, buzz-y.

Santa dear, one day, came to me, and asked for my help, you see
“The shopping list is far too long,” whined he, over a cuppa tea.

His face, a wee bit weary, into the chair, he slumped, so sad, dear me!
“Got too much to do; pressies to buy, then wrap to put under that tree.”

“Rudolph’s down with flu, two elves are sick in bed, oh woe is me!”
Oh my gosh, thought me the bee, was this a dream, a movie or some fantasy?

Come, come, dear man, this will not do; tut-tut, all this I cannot see
Now listen up, Santa, just you breathe, relax and quietly drink your tea.

The world awaits you; every kid with bated breath, agog to hug a pressie
Don’t let them down, please, Santa; I will do my part to help, said me the bee.

So, who helped with the wrapping, the packing; gifts to place beneath the Christmas tree?
Who bucked up Santa? Healed Rudolph and those sickly elves? Yes, me the bee!

Dear friends, so that’s the tale how I became a Christmas bee, the busy bee;
Now whene’er you hear the “Ho Ho Ho!”, thank me, the bee – buzz-y, buzzy, buzz-y!

My “Happy Tree”

Life is wonderful, indeed; ’tis fantastic fun;
Glorious, cheery blessings…yes, for everyone.

Indoor, my cup, O Lord, it runneth over
Gushing with Your loving grace and power.

So, there I go, outdoor, and in the garden
I plant my happy “Happy Tree” – Amen!

This tree I have, for all to see,
I call it mine, the “Happy Tree”.

And on its branches twining,
I hang my blessings swirling, twirling.

The love that dwells inside my heart,
I drape around the tree, to start.

Countless “thank You’s” from my mind
Around the boughs I gently wind.

Like bright, shiny tinsel strands
My eyes place rainbow beauty bands.

The good I hear, and wise advice,
I display with pride, my bumper prize.

I feel a feel, a blissful feel
About my tree, my “Happy Tree”.

Life’s all about love, light and joy,
Peace, contentment, for us to enjoy.

So, thank You, Lord, I wish to express..
Deep gratitude for all You bless!

Whispers of the heart

Sit a while, my friend. And, listen.

Give ear to the silence. It is deafening.

It shouts out.

Close your eyes.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Let go of the stress.

Think of a sweet image.

A scene, so serene,

Soothing, calming,

Caressing, embracing.

Perceive the warmth,

And the gentle feel of…

Fairy dust,

Angel sparkle.

A caring cuddle,

A big, bear snuggle.

Take to heart, and appreciate…

The LOVE that blooms,

And the PEACE which rules.

So…

Let go of the stress,

Toss out all distress.

Remember!

Ne’er despair..

Of His loving care.

For He is always there..

In silence, be still…and listen…to Him.

Farewell, Snow….it’s time to watch the flowers grow

Snow! Get thee gone.. away, I say,
Takest thou, the cold and icy ways.

For thou art harsh, hard and hefty
On the heart and health.. Oh, leave us be!

Thy gusty winds doth awake the chills;
Thou freeze the air, begone! ..and take thy ills.

We’ll not make merry whilst thou spread the flakes,
We’ll brush and shovel, no matter the time it takes.

Granted, thy veil of white doth look so enchanting,
But, by overstaying your welcome, just misery brings.

Your arrival was a blessing, that I must say;
Your beauty, your charm, the fun – you made our day!

The hilarity, the joy, the giggles and much laughter,
Aye, ’tis you, the bringer of this ‘funster’ bluster!

But, now, alas, dear snow, you must go, go, go!
The crowds have had enough of snow, snow, snow!

So now fare thee well, adieu, you fifty shades of white,
Throngs await Spring and the warm sunshine bright.

O Snow, we shall await your new season – Winter – in all its glory,
Oh, yes, all agog, with bated breath – just you wait and see!

Dance on shattered glass, you must!

Dance on shattered glass, you must!
Walk through those flames of fire.

Fly, you must, fly high as an eagle,
Dream, yes, your wildest dreams.

Think deep like the wisest scholars,
Smile, joyfully, your most beaming smile.

Eat cheesecake, aye, the pure white fantasy,
Walk tall, chin up, with head held high.

Run fast as the wind, free and unshackled,
Speak words of wisdom, purity and gentleness.

Observe with kindness, understanding and compassion,
Climb, you must, the peak of perfection and punctuality.

Waltz, tango, salsa through life,
Enjoy every moment.
Savour each experience,
Be grateful for adversities.

Hardships make you strong, wise and..
Sincerely grateful for all blessings, great and small.

Therefore, thank the good Lord, with all your heart,
He’s blessed you richly, and you must play your part;
Live well, with gratitude, humility and zestful fun,
Start today! For tomorrow is promised to no one.

I feel so blessed, I must confess

‘Twas beneath the tree
That I did see
Amidst the green
The quiet, the serene.

Whispers of the breeze;
The buzz of bumblebees;
Rustle of the leaves;
The sunshine, ah, the peace!

I feel so blessed
I must confess
To realise I am no less
Than he, she and the rest.

I am His child, without a doubt
As are we all, just shout it out.
All are equal, there is no doubt,
Loved by Him, of us He’s proud.

So let me dream
Beneath the tree
Of the “good, kind me”
I intend to be.

Realisation?

… Aye!

‘Twas beneath the tree
That I did see
Amidst the green
His eternal love for me.

I think of…

A garden of flowers
An orchard of fruit trees
A room filled with laughter
A bright, sunny day
An embrace of love and warmth
Whispers of endearments
A heart full of compassion
The face of kindness
An aura of beauty
The brilliance of your persona
The radiance of your soul
Your dazzling smile
Your kindly eyes
Your humble gait
Your caring nature
Your gentleness
Your guidance
Your teaching
Your mentoring

My every bit of Paradise!

O let me rest my weary self,

Beneath the gently swaying boughs;

I lay my head down ‘pon the ground,

Lost, my body aches to find that peace.

That elusive peace; the calmness; the serenity;

O thoughts, confused; jumbled; incoherent.

But, hush now, I hear the rustle of the leaves,

Or….wait! Ah, yes, ’tis an angel I sense.

Its wings whisper to me, restful, comforting words;

Thoughts of love and light embrace my very being..

O what ecstasy! The utter delight, the joy I feel,

Yes, this courtyard, this peaceful haven – my every bit of Paradise!

Happiness is a bowl of fresh berries

Oh, gosh! My room’s a mess
I am in a total distress.

The cat’s done another ‘oopsie’
Do it again, feline, and you’ll get a ‘whoopsie’.

Dog, the obedient, doesn’t dare,
Have already given him an icy stare.

Laptop, again, conked out
For that I give a nasty shout.

Telly’s on the blink
Uff, I just cannot think.

Window shutters are rattling
The latches are battling.

I surrender, and flop on to my bed
Staring at the ceiling, I rest my head.

I wonder, and ponder, and, thrice, wonder
I think, and think, and simply wonder.

The walls begin to close in, I feel suffocated
What? Is the ceiling collapsing, am I intoxicated?

Perhaps pixies, gremlins and the mischievous fairy
Have caused all this havoc ? Help! They’re out to get me?

Ye gods, I don’t trust them nor their pixie dust
With that magic, they can do a lot…they got guts.

So, out the room, I pronto jump, in total distress
Down the stairs, I whizz, gosh, am I in a mess!

Breathe, breathe, my guru yoga always instructed
Beneath the tree I now sit, feeling a wee bit protected.

When stress spills over and the worries don’t abate
It’s because the system needs a break, so it’s time to meditate.

Be happy, don’t worry! Let not tensions nest in your head
Forget the past, trust the future, and in the present, walk on ahead.

Indeed, breathe in, breathe out…inhale, exhale – repeat
And if like me, you find a berry on the bush nearby – eat!

Happy strawberries, blueberries, cherries and blackberries
Pick and pluck what you love. My happy heart’s in raspberries!
