Life is wonderful, indeed; ’tis fantastic fun;
Glorious, cheery blessings…yes, for everyone.

Indoor, my cup, O Lord, it runneth over
Gushing with Your loving grace and power.

So, there I go, outdoor, and in the garden
I plant my happy “Happy Tree” – Amen!

This tree I have, for all to see,
I call it mine, the “Happy Tree”.

And on its branches twining,
I hang my blessings swirling, twirling.

The love that dwells inside my heart,
I drape around the tree, to start.

Countless “thank You’s” from my mind
Around the boughs I gently wind.

Like bright, shiny tinsel strands
My eyes place rainbow beauty bands.

The good I hear, and wise advice,
I display with pride, my bumper prize.

I feel a feel, a blissful feel
About my tree, my “Happy Tree”.

Life’s all about love, light and joy,
Peace, contentment, for us to enjoy.

So, thank You, Lord, I wish to express..
Deep gratitude for all You bless!

“Live your truth. Express your love. Share your enthusiasm. Take action towards your dreams. Walk your talk. Dance and sing to your music. Embrace your blessings. Make today worth remembering.”

~ Dr Steve Maraboli

I am going to be happy today!

Oh, what a beautiful day it is, by His grace.

I love the sun as it shines. It seems to grin at me through the leafy branches.

The clouds pass by. With their sailing swirls of blues and whites, they gently acknowledge my presence.

I am going to be happy today!

Oh, what a beautiful day it is, by His grace.

The tingling, kindly breeze softly caresses my cheek. Refreshed, I feel joyful and immensely grateful to be alive.

So many sparrows in flight, soaring and swooping. They chirp excitedly, and shower at the bird fountain, before taking a peck at the breadcrumbs and seeds scattered nearby.

I am going to be happy today!

Oh, what a beautiful day it is, by His grace.

A razzmatazz of colours appears in the front. Such a beautiful array of flowers – dahlias, roses, hollyhocks, pansies, zinnias, chrysanthemums, marigolds, phlox, gladioli, bougainvilleas and a whole lot more.

The lush green grass feels cool, bejewelled by the morning dew, each blade shimmering and sparkling by the radiant sunshine.

I am going to be happy today!

Oh, what a beautiful day it is, by His grace.

The splendour of three butterflies fluttering around, begs my attention. Brilliant yellows, crimson reds, turquoise blues and dazzling oranges waltz, then salsa, ending their dance sequence with the rhumba. I’m hypnotised.

How delightful is my garden! Indeed, my cup runneth over, my heart swells with gratefulness. Gratitude waters my soul; verdant with an abundance of blessings.

I am going to be happy today!

I am thankful for all the blessings – past, present and future.

Oh, what a beautiful day it is, by His grace.

Ah, such a positive, splendid life I have… I love it. I am going to live it.

I have embraced my blessings. Have you?

Make today worth remembering.

Cheers!

I feel so blessed, I must confess

‘Twas beneath the tree
That I did see
Amidst the green
The quiet, the serene.

Whispers of the breeze;
The buzz of bumblebees;
Rustle of the leaves;
The sunshine, ah, the peace!

I feel so blessed
I must confess
To realise I am no less
Than he, she and the rest.

I am His child, without a doubt
As are we all, just shout it out.
All are equal, there is no doubt,
Loved by Him, of us He’s proud.

So let me dream
Beneath the tree
Of the “good, kind me”
I intend to be.

Realisation?

… Aye!

‘Twas beneath the tree
That I did see
Amidst the green
His eternal love for me.

The Rumble in the Jungle

Deep in the jungle, in the heart of it, there stood Rigamaroo
His mind was in a whirl and twirl, he didn’t know what to do.

Too much trouble, hubble bubble, shuffle and kerfuffle
Such was life, thought he, poor me! Rock bottom, in a scuffle.

Can’t think straight, caught in a tangle, feeling drab, dull and dead
Swirling, twirling, swooshing, whooshing, yikes, ’twas a bee buzz in his head.

The stress, alas, was too much for him, he was down, deep in a jumble
Frazzled, boggled, puzzled, oh gosh, what a humongous muddle!

All the worrying, the fretting, the doubting, oodles doom and gloom
His mind, no good.. Should he go left? Or, right? He didn’t know what to do.

Glum-faced, puckered lips, furrowed brows – peace, was what he yearned for
Yet, still, along the winding path he trudged; a figure, hunched…quite sore.

What was his problem? His quandary? His quantum of irrationality?
Why go in the jungle, with its creepers and twines? It made no sensibility.

But, Rigamaroo just toddled and hobbled, without an end in sight
He turned right, then, he turned left. Next, left and, then, again, right.

Bewildered, befuddled…..now left on his own – I ask ye, was poor chappie okay?
No, methinks, not. For ’tis best to have a confidante, to share, discuss, to have your say.

As when you’re open to discussion…a kindly ear, a gentle embrace, or just a simple pat on the hand
Boosts one’s morale and, the self esteem, enhances – ah, so that is why it’s called a healing hand!

Right? Are you? Really, right? Rigamaroo questioned me..
Since now he felt so much better, happy, healthy and carefree.

My reply was…

“Well, I am your Guardian Angel, my duty is to care,
“Though, of course, you cannot see me, but, I am ever there.”

Big fish in a small pond

Standard

It all began with one small fish…a goldfish to be exact. It was love at first sight and my dear brother was smitten with the big bonny, beady eyes and the golden, flowing, spectacular robe of…err, let’s call her Goldilocks. And thus, began the love affair.

Goldilocks (the Queen, if you please) was put into a large aquarium—artistically designed, along with all the accompanying paraphernalia (befitting Her Majesty, oh gawdie), such as rocks, pebbles, gravel, shells, ferns, etc—and proudly placed in our home. La-di-da.

My besotted sibling devoted meticulous care to Goldie (as he oh-so lovingly called her), feeding her at regular times, and ensuring that the filter was in proper working order.
